Club of the day
Guess today's club
Every guess is compared with today's club attribute by attribute. Green means exact, amber means close, and the arrow says whether the answer is higher or lower than your guess.
How does the club of the day work?
Everyone plays the same club today, and it changes at midnight UTC. You have eight guesses, and every guess is compared with today's club attribute by attribute: year founded, country, state, city and shirt colours.
Nothing about the answer is in the page you are reading. Each guess is checked on the server, so the only way to find the club is to guess it.
Why is the state column empty for some clubs?
Because only Brazilian clubs have one. When both your guess and the answer are from outside Brazil the column counts as matching, which is the honest reading: it says the two are both foreign, not that you got something wrong.
Why are there no badges?
A club badge is a registered trademark, and this is a commercial site. Colours can be described in words without drawing anybody's badge, and words work the same in every language.
Why is there no title count?
Because it changes every December for one club, and because checking it for hundreds of clubs would mean asserting numbers we cannot verify. The five attributes here never move: a club does not change the year it was founded.
Does sharing my result spoil the club?
No. The shared square carries only the colours of each guess, never the clubs you tried and never the arrows, because an arrow tells the reader whether the answer is above or below your guess.
