Unofficial colors of Brazilian club uniforms!

Some Brazilian teams do not identify themselves solely with the official colors of their flag and crest. Many adopt different colors on their third jersey, in ornaments on the official season shirt or simply have some sympathy for a color that is not the club's official color.

International

Yellow

Internacional has been using the yellow color for its goalkeeper shirts for a long time, from the 90s to the present day.

The shade of yellow is, most of the time, pulled towards gold, making reference to the yellow stars that the club used on its shield.

In 2009, the club wore a gold number 3 shirt in celebration of its centenary and in 2014, it adopted an all-yellow number 3 shirt as well.

Furthermore, yellow appears on the flag of Rio Grande do Sul, often printed on Inter's shirts.

Green

In 2023, Inter wore an all-green third kit to celebrate the ecological feat of becoming the first football team in Brazil with an official waste management certificate.

Green is also frequently seen on Inter's main uniforms, being represented on the flag of Rio Grande do Sul, which is usually printed on the club's shirt, on the sleeves or on the back of the collar.

Corinthians

Purple

Corinthians is one of the clubs in Brazil that is most innovative in its visual identity, often pioneering new trends.

As black and white are common colors among Brazilian clubs, Corinthians often wears number 3 shirts, even in state competitions.

Since 2008, the club began to adopt the color purple in its third shirt, something that was repeated over the years and ended up becoming a trademark of the club.

Blue

Another color commonly used by the club is blue, present mainly in the goalkeeper shirts and, in some cases, in the number 3 shirt.

Cream

In 2022 and 2023, Corinthians' number 3 shirt had a white/cream tone that became quite famous. The 2022 version, with Japanese kanji, is still one of the most popular uniforms among fans.

Palm trees

Lime Green or Neon Green

Despite being similar to the green of the crest, lime green is not an official color of Palmeiras. However, over the years it has been widely used to identify both goalkeepers and players wearing the number 2 shirt. Nowadays, it appears more frequently on the club's number 3 kits.

Red

Due to the red star on the Palmeiras crest, the color is often used in adornments, sleeve details and sponsors. The combination of green, red and white references the club's Italian origins.

Blue

Palmeiras has a long history with the color blue, which was used for many years on goalkeeper uniforms. It also appears on some recent special uniforms, usually paying homage to older versions of the club.

Blue

Santos has a strong connection with blue, as it was one of its official colors when it was founded. However, the club has always played officially in black and white, and blue only appeared on the third kit to honor its history.

Cruzeiro originally used green as its main color, under the name Palestra Itália. However, after World War II, Brazilian clubs could no longer make references to Axis countries, and Cruzeiro changed its name and colors.
