The 10 Least "Hot" Football Players (Ugly!)

Some players, in addition to their achievements on the field, also became known for unique characteristics that caught the attention of fans.

In this special list, we will remember those players who, due to their appearance or peculiar style, made their mark. Get ready for a Top 10 that is different from the usual!

Opening our list, we have the beloved Brazilian affectionately nicknamed by Flamengo fans as "Rodilindo". Having played for Corinthians and Internacional, the right-back won the Libertadores with Mengão in 2019 and 2022.

Having played for Botafogo, São Paulo and Grêmio, left-back Cortez became known for his peculiar appearance. He won the Copa do Brasil and the Libertadores with Tricolor Gaúcho.

Known for being the executioner of the Brazilian team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Fellaini spent much of his career at Manchester United playing as a defensive midfielder. The Belgian is in our eighth position.

In seventh place is Mexican Héctor Herrera. Having played for Porto and Atlético de Madrid, he became known for his irreverent appearance, easily securing his place on this list.

Praised by Toni Kroos and even suggested by him as a possible replacement at Real Madrid, the German player, who came through Bayern Munich and is currently at Stuttgart, is known for his skill on the field, despite his lack of good looks.

In fifth place is Northern Irishman Iain Dowie, who has had a career at several Premier League clubs. The striker became famous for "scaring opposing defenders", highlighting his unique "beauty" on the field.

Corinthians' historic goalkeeper couldn't be left out of this Top 10! Cássio was discovered by Grêmio and had a stint at the Dutch club PSV, but it was at Timão that he found his best football and made history. Known for his imposing chin, Cássio is considered one of the greatest idols in the history of the São Paulo club, winning titles such as a World Cup, a Libertadores and three Brazilian Championships.

Clodoaldo is still the third highest scorer in Fortaleza's history, with 127 goals. However, it was for his peculiar beauty (or lack thereof) that he became known throughout Brazil, securing his place on our podium.

In second place is Argentine star Carlitos Tevez. An idol at clubs such as Boca Juniors, Corinthians, Juventus and Manchester United, Tevez was known for his irreverent aesthetic. The multi-champion striker scored more than 300 goals throughout his career.

And in first place, in a tight race for second place, is Frenchman Franck Ribéry! An idol of Bavarian giant Bayern Munich, Ribéry also played for big clubs such as Fiorentina and Olympique de Marseille. With over 400 games for the German club, he stood out for his skill and dribbling, as well as his striking appearance. After suffering an accident that left his face with scars, Ribéry overcame adversity and won every possible title, making his mark on one of the biggest clubs in the world.
